Share Accounts (Deposit)

Southernmost Federal Credit Union offers a variety of deposit and savings accounts to help you achieve your goals for the future. All deposit accounts are federally insured by up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). The fund is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA)an independent agency of the U.S. Government. Share Accounts (Savings)

Credit Union members "savings" account is there primary Share account and establishes your membership. Your Share account generally pays a higher rate of return, or dividend, than at other financial institutions. Detailed statements are provided quarterly.

Share Draft Accounts (Checking)

Your Share Draft account is your "checking" account. Share draft accounts at your credit union are provided with minimal fees. There are:

	NO monthly fees if the minimum balance of $250.00 is maintained
	$5.00 per month fee if minimum balance is not maintained
	NO per check charges

Club Accounts (Christmas or Vacation)

Club accounts earn dividends while providing an easy way to save for Christmas or an exciting vacation.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)

Retirement is one of the most important times of our members lives and Southernmost Federal Credit Union has IRA accounts to help our members plan for that time. Our IRA accounts pay excellent dividends!

Contributions to IRA accounts may be may be partially or totally tax-deductible, depending on your participation in other pension plans and our adjusted gross income (see your tax advisor). Every dollar your IRA earns, however, remains tax-deferred.

One of the benefits of credit union membership is you can conveniently transfer deposits into your IRA from your Share (Savings) account. Contact Member Services today about setting up your own personal retirement savings plan.

Certificates of Deposit

We offer 6 month and 12 month certificates of deposit with a minimum of $1000. Please contact the credit union for the rates. Early withdrawal penalty of one months interest earned or not earned applies.

ATM Cards

For your added convenience we have ATM cards. Our machine is located at 1004 Kennedy Drive with no fee to the member. Member use of machines other than ours will result in a $1.00 fee plus the fee from that machine.
